We met in October of 2016 when we were both attending school in Monterey, Cailfornia. Brittany was studying Cinematic Arts at California State University, Monterey Bay, and Daniel was in an intensive course, studying a language for his job in the Army. Their first date was at a local Vietnamese noodle restaurant called the "Noodle Bar". He showed up at her door on his motorcycle with a helmet and a riding jacket. She trusted him enough to jump on the back and off they went. When they got to the noodle bar, they hit it off over a bowl of Ramen. As they say, the rest is history.
As you all know, the military life caused us to do things differently than the norm due to Daniel's deployment. He returned from overseas on April 6th, 2019 and we visited his family in Alabama and then flew to California to spend time with Brittany's family. On April 21, 2019, Easter morning, Daniel organized an Easter egg hunt for her family to participate in. Everybody opened their eggs. When it got to Daniel's turn, he opened his egg and it had a beautiful ring inside. He then got down on knee and began talking about our first date, the things he loved about her, and about how he wants to spend his life with her. That is when he asked if she would do him the honor of marrying him. Well, now that we are here, it is obvious that she said yes! We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you soon in Oak Glen!
