Despite being born and raised in Virginia, sharing a birthday with Walt Disney seemed almost prophetic for Jessica’s eventual move to the Sunshine State. After her first Disney College Program, Jessica reluctantly moved back home to finish her degree, but she knew in her heart that she would have to make her way back and become a Florida resident permanently. A year later, she made good on that promise and a week after THAT she met a curly-haired “bounty-hunter” who took her breath away. After two years (and several conversations with anyone who would listen about her crush), Brock FINALLY asked her for a date and they fell in love with pizza, sunflowers, and a mutual love for chaos. Thank you all for coming together to celebrate our love! See you on the dance-floor!!!

Maybe it was the heat from the sun or the way the costume cut off my oxygen flow, but seeing Jess made me dizzy and took my breath away. Took some time and a lot of courage but she’s now soon to be mine!! VICTORY IS MINE (ours?)!! Thank you for coming to our wedding! We love you all!

Melissa (AKA Mom) has known Jessica since before she was born. Deciding to be born on Walt Disney’s birthday, Jessica came into the world with a flourish. Raising Jessica was always an adventure, from her first day on earth to when she was a student in AP Biology to when she left to go adulting on her own. Some say Jessica’s commentary when driving stems from her early days hearing Mom’s examples, but the jury is still out on that. Melissa is thrilled that Jessica found in Brock a person she could be 100% herself with, and wishes them a long, fulfilling lifetime together.

Being Dad I have known Jessica her entire life. She's always been a great red-headed ball of energy even when she had different hair colors. It's wonderful that she found someone that can match and compliment her energy. I am very happy to welcome Brock, officially into the family.

Maid of Honor

They have been dubbed the “Dream team from hell” and have been getting up to all kinds of shenanigans for 20 years (wat). Whether it was cavorting around towns as Jobanna and Carol, causing mischief as Lady Red and Agent Death, or waiting for Sara to be done in lab already, Jessica and Sara (aka Smurph) have had quite the adventurous friendship so far! These two are the ultimate concert buddies who love to go see live music together and it all started with a casual “Hey do you want to go see One Direction in DC?” back in 2014. So many miles have been put on their cars from just driving around and chatting about life. It is a truly special friendship that has and will continue to stand the test of time. No matter how far apart these two mateys may be physically, they will always have the Twilight Blanket. Right now, Sara is finishing up her PhD in immunology and cancer biology. In her time outside of the lab, she likes to catch up with her friends and bake! Sara could not be happier for Jessica to have found such a wonderful partner in Brock. They are perfect partners in crime who complement each other beautifully (and have fire couple’s costumes!). Sara is thrilled to be Jessica’s maid of honor and is stoked for what will be an incredible wedding! She and the magnificent team of bridesmaids will do everything they can to ensure the Marjama wedding is amazing and goes off without a hitch!

Kay and Jessica met in 2016 while on the Disney College Program and the Tornado Twins have been terrorizing the world together ever since. It was a meet cute for the ages, that has taken them through a quiet village, a fantasmic! Island, a galaxy far far away and more. Even though Kay brutally abandoned Jessica to move to Seattle, their friendship is too powerful for mere mortal miles (also chaos can descend on Seattle too (and has)). Kay could not be more excited for Jessica’s next chapter after meeting Brock and putting the fear of god into him. When she’s not devoting her life to the wedding of the century, she’s working in musical theater and watching men in slutty outfits (baseball.)

This is Erika! She’s just a New York girl living in a Florida world. She was lucky to meet both Jessica and Brock in 2018 while working for the Mouse in a Galaxy Far Far Away. Erika and Jessica quickly bonded over their shared love of musical theatre, often yelling “Courtney, take your break” at each other from across the room. While Erika doesn’t work for the mouse anymore and now works in technology marketing, she always knew she’d remain close friends with Jessica, and couldn’t be more grateful for the friendship they’ve created. Erika is so excited for Jessica and Brock to start the next chapter of their lives together and she can’t wait to see one of her favorite people marry her person (and dance the night away)!

Two Jesses are better than one! Jess and Jess met working in the costuming department at JMU and later became roommates, best friends, and partners in shenanigans. Jess and Jess bring out the party goblin in each other as often as we’ve answered late night phone calls. In words from our countless New Girl marathons: “I have your back no matter what, no matter how stupid it gets, and you and I both know it can get really really stupid." Can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Brother of the groom, master of the grill, life of the party. While you can normally find him hunting, fishing, or being a loving older brother, at the wedding you’ll see him HUNTING for a good time, FISHING for compliments, or…well, that last part is pretty consistent.
