Christopher and Gianna really have Missy, the groom's sister, to thank for getting us here! We met the day before Missy's graduation from Pepperdine in 2015. We bonded over crab legs and greyhounds at the Jonathan Beach Club, but didn't think much of it... I mean he was her best friends brother and she was his sisters best friend! Then came the Cinco de Mayo party that Missy and Gianna threw at their apartment, and Christopher showed up with some bud light limes. After having some jalapeño margaritas at the Shore Bar, Christopher and Gianna were officially off and running! After a year in California and 3 years exploring Colorado and learning how to live in snow, they decided it was not only time to move back to the beach, but to also tie the knot! Christopher and Gianna now live in Venice with their Corgi, Beans, their giant Norwegian Forest Cat, Captain Morgan (Chef), and their Dog-Faced Puffer Fish, Omi.

The engagement story is really one that is not to be forgotten. After a plane ride with Beans and an excruciatingly long navigation out of LAX, Christopher surprised Gianna and took her to an awesome hotel where they got ready for the evening and sipped rosé. They then had a beautiful and romantic dinner at the Jonathan Beach Club (remember crab legs and greyhounds?) where they got engaged over cucumber G&T's. After popping some champagne and celebrating with their families, they made their way back. to the hotel where Gianna succumbed to the dreaded effect of alcohol and antibiotics (thanks strep and first grade). After Christopher finally got Gianna to bed and was just drifting off into sleep, the fire alarm went off. Now remember, neither of us were sober, and Gianna was certainly not capable of much of anything (I'll spare you the details-but if you can imagine a dog barfing on the carpet, you can imagine this scenario). Christopher finally got Gianna out of bed and as they both run out of their hotel room (wearing only robes, thats right no shoes either) they are hit with a wall of smoke and the fire department yelling at them to get down the stairs and outside. After running down 8 flights of stairs they are finally ushered outside, where they are seemingly the last people out of the hotel, and definitely the most inebriated. Nobody quite knew what was going on, but Christopher did overhear that somebody had started a dumpster fire which had caught the hotel on fire. Finally after waiting with the rest of the stranded hotel guests we were able to get upstairs, retrieve our luggage, and get the heck out of that smoky hotel! It's safe to say that this was the engagement of a lifetime and Christopher and Gianna feel like since they survived a dumpster fire, and now a quarantine during a global pandemic, they are ready to fully commit to the rest of their lives together.
