Christian and Bailey's story begins in the spring of 2024 when they both enrolled in San Jacinto Community College's Emergency Medical Technician certification course. On the first day, the two walked in knowing no one but quickly began making friends. As they were let out for lunch, they began heading towards the cafeteria to explore the other side of the campus. This is when they were introduced to one another for the first time. The next day of class, they walked into the same classroom, but the tables were set up different. Christian quickly decided to sit next to Bailey at the end of her table (which Bailey thought was interesting) and class begun. These seats were where the two would exchange jokes, glances, and notes; and where they would build a friendship that would set them up for their future relationship. Christian would "accidentally" kick Bailey when trying to extend his legs and blame her when their feet or legs touched. Bailey would tell him to pay attention during lecture and they would whisper their discussion questions to each other. During this class the instructor made it clear that group study sessions would be the most efficient way to learn, so Bailey decided she would start inviting her classmates to join her in studying. For weeks, Christian would be the only to show up and would treat her to snacks and drinks when he did. Some days he would get off of work around three in the morning, take a nap, and meet Bailey wherever she wanted to study that day. This is when they were able to get to know each other more. They each asked about their pasts, their desires for the future, and would share perspectives and advice in between focus sessions in the textbook. Bailey completely denied her feelings for Christian for most of their friendship. Her friends and family saw through her front and observed her bringing him medicine when he was sick, writing him encouraging notes in the bible she bought him, and exchanging memes on Instagram when they were not together; not to mention how often she talked about him… but Christian had a rule that he did not date anyone at school, at the gym, or at work so their love story did not begin until graduation, but when it did, it happened quick! Just one day after graduation, Christian told her about his feelings and of course (he already knew) she shared the same sentiment! Christian was invited to Bailey’s graduation party and there he met all of her closest friends and family. It was clear to everyone there that they were interested in one another, so the next day at a friend’s birthday party, they made it official. It was a big deal, and it was in the midst of their community that they decided to love one another. And now he we are, in the midst of our community deciding to love one another FOREVER!
