We met online approximately 11 years ago. After chatting on OK Cupid for a few weeks, we decided to meet up at Starbucks. Little did Lisa know then, that Ben’s love of coffee runs deep! We shared our first kiss in a Starbucks parking lot! Around that same time Ben’s parents moved here from Albania and required a lot of medical assistance. There just wasn’t much time for dating, so after a few months, we decided to part ways. Both of us recognized that we had a real connection, but it wasn’t the right timing. We decided to remain friends. We continued to check in every so often. But we soon realized that we were better together than apart. Over the next few years, we began texting almost daily, but only saw each other for coffee or dinner once every couple of months. Sadly, Ben’s beloved father passed away and then a couple years later his mother passed away unexpectedly. A few months later Ben said he wanted to meet Lisa’s family…. And that included the big extended family. Ben fit right in! Lisa met Ben’s family as well and they felt like family immediately! We are both so happy to have found someone who loves us and accepts us as we are. We are looking forward to a lifetime of adventures, experiences, love and of course …..coffee.
