We originally MET upon transference of business. I was closing my salon and he was seeking my location where he then opened a clothing store. I've seen him on previous occasions prior to as he would frequent his sister (LaShawn) BBQ restaurant a couple of doors down from the salon. January 2016 i mentioned to Shawn that I would be closing my salon she then ask would it be ok for her brother to come take a look at the property because it would be the perfect location for his new business venture. Later that day he stopped by the salon to take a look and lawwwwd all I could think is he's even finer in person than just gazing through the window lol. And even though upon our first physical conversation I absolutely hated him, lol, I knew after he left he had to be mines! -Aquilla

Months had went by and all i could think about was Rick. I would occasionally "stalk" his social media to see how his process was going with the opening of his new clothing store. So on the morning of May 24, 2016 my mom and I were headed My GodSister (Jessica) H.S graduation ceremony located down the street from Rick's store and boyyyy was i looking super CUTE! After the ceremony, I decided to inbox Rick and asked him can i come view the store to see the changes he had done. He agreed and i was beyond overjoyed. My mom and sis gave me the ok to ditch them and go seek this unforgettable man I was dying to meet again. I just always knew it was something about him and i just needed to find out what. Upon my arrival, he arrived shortly after on his trike motorcycle looking just as fine as i was. Our talk at the store went from a quick 20 minute visit to a 4 hour+ conversation that is now going to last a lifetime. -Aquilla

I knew on my birthday that I was going to marry Aquilla. She had been planning this big party for her 35th birthday and I knew there would no better time to propose to her than there with all of our love ones present. Almost no one knew what was going to take place that night, I told only a selected few in advance. I waited outside the party venue patiently for her DJ to arrive so I could let him in on the secret and we set up the perfect time for me to do it. In the mid hours of the party....Music drops, announcement of her first gift coming from the back I had turn around with her eyes closed. Got down on one knee and the ring in one hand while i spin her around with the other. The ultimate tears of joy from her and everyone around and the rest is history! -Rick
