FAQsFAQs

If you don't find the answers you're looking for here, please don't hesitate to reach out to Chris or I. I don't answer my phone much, but I do respond to text messages Lol Chris: 410-937-3276 Laurie: 410-652-2345
Question

WHEN DO I NEED TO RSVP BY?WHEN DO I NEED TO RSVP BY?

Answer

Please RSVP as soon as you can — and no later than November 8th. 🎄 With a guest list this size, seating is tighter than Santa’s toy workshop, and we want to make sure every seat is accounted for. If we don’t hear from you by then, we can’t guarantee a spot at the table (or on the dance floor). 🎶 If you’ll be booking a hotel, we recommend doing so sooner rather than later — Christmas is a busy season in our little town, and rooms will go faster than Santa up a chimney! 🏨✨

Question

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE IF I AM NOT COMING FOR PRE-CEREMONY DRINKS?WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE IF I AM NOT COMING FOR PRE-CEREMONY DRINKS?

Answer

We recommend arriving about 15–20 minutes before the ceremony so you can grab a seat and be ready for the official nuptials of Mrs Claus and Santa! 🔔

Question

ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?ARE CHILDREN INVITED TO THE WEDDING?

Answer

As much as we love little elves, this is a grown-up Christmas party — no guests under 18, please. Between the flowing spirits, late-night dancing, and some questionable carol-singing, it’s best we leave the reindeer games to the adults. 🥂

Question

CAN I BRING A GUEST?CAN I BRING A GUEST?

Answer

We’d love to celebrate with everyone we know, but we are working with a limited design area, and we have to be mindful of our space and seating. If your invitation includes “& guest,” then you are more than welcome to bring someone along. If not, we kindly ask that you attend solo this time. Should we have extra seats open up closer to the big day, we’ll happily reach out and let you know. Thank you for understanding and helping us keep our guest list wrapped up just right. 🎁

Question

IS THERE A DRESS CODE?IS THERE A DRESS CODE?

Answer

We’re dreaming of a semi-formal Christmas! Think suits and dresses rather than black-tie gowns or tuxedos. Our wedding colors lean into the cozy, and Laurie's "moody" side of the season—burgundy, deep sapphire, pine green, and other wintry hues. While you don’t need to match our palette, feel free to be inspired by it if you’d like to look extra merry & bright. ✨

Question

IS THERE PARKING ONSITE?IS THERE PARKING ONSITE?

Answer

Yes! The Community Center has a large lot with plenty of spaces for all our guests. 🚗✨ That said, carpooling with friends or family is always a holly-jolly option — more fun arriving together, and fewer reindeer needed to pull the sleigh. 🦌🎄 And if you plan on enjoying plenty of holiday spirits, a rideshare (Uber/Lyft) is a safe and merry way to get home. 🍸✨

Question

IS IT OK TO POST PHOTOS & VIDEOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?IS IT OK TO POST PHOTOS & VIDEOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA?

Answer

Yes! We would love to see all of the captured candid photos and videos of you (and us) on our special day. If you do post on social media, please use #marrychrismiss so we can easily find them. Also, there will be QR codes posted around with instructions to upload photos to a special album everyone will have access to if you choose.

Question

DO YOU HAVE A WEDDING REGISTRY?DO YOU HAVE A WEDDING REGISTRY?

Answer

We do not. We've lived together for almost a decade, so we don't need any more "stuff" to pile into this house Lol - So instead of a traditional registry, we’re asking for your help… and giving you the power to decide just how far we get. 🏕️ $5–$50: Backyard Bliss Tent camping + microwave s’mores. Romance? Yes. Mosquito bites? Also yes. 🛏️ $51–$200: Budget Getaway A weekend at the Best Western. Bonus if there’s a vending machine and free ice. ✈️ $201–$999: Domestic Jet Setters We might actually leave the state—and fly on an airline that gives free snacks. 🌴 $1,000+: International Lovebirds Beach sunsets, fruity drinks, and us sending “wish you were here” texts just to rub it in. No pressure, no expectations—just a chance to help us trade laundry days for lazy beach days. We’ll go as far as your generosity takes us!
