FAQs

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Only William is because he's a cool cat. Babies are allowed but they won't be included in the caterer or seat count.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Doors open at 4:30, Ceremony begins 30 minutes after that. Please be in your reserved ceremony seat in a timely manner. The DJ will give time queues.

Question

There’s no food option on the RSVP, what food will be available?

Answer

There will be a slider station with beef patties and a taco bar with chicken and all the fixins. For vegetarians there will be rice and beans, roasted veggies, and toppings to make some delicious veggie tacos. There will also be greens if you wish to make a taco/burger salad. Tacos are a very gluten-free friendly option, however if you or your date have any sort of allergies that the caterer should know about, please note it on the RSVP under the “food notes/allergies” section.

Question

Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

There is a main lot for this venue and a parking attendant will be there to assist you. If they tell you the lot is full, there is a secondary lot a bit of a walk away. The wedding planner recommends that if you have to park in the far lot, have someone from the main lot pick you up. No need to walk in the cold! Marilyn, Stu, Reed, Debie, and Bill will all have a map of this extra parking. If you would like a picture of it sent to you, contact one of them.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony? It’s such a special moment, I want to have a picture of it forever.

Answer

What would be so special for us, would be to look into where you’re all sitting for the ceremony and see your beautiful faces instead of phones. Please be present with us for this moment we’ve waited so long for. We will share the photographer’s beautiful photos with you all in the Gallery tab of our website as soon as they’re available.

Question

How does the registry work with the “contribute what you wish” gifts?

Answer

What’s so great about this registry, is that if you want to financially contribute to multiple gifts you can. For example, if your budget is $50, you can put $25 in the “Honeymoon Fund”, and $25 towards the “Down Payment on a Home”. If you have any questions, let either of us know.

Question

Can I bring my drink to the dance floor?

Answer

No drinks are allowed to enter the dance floor. They are permitted in other areas such as hallways, dining area, cocktail lounge, and the groom and bridal suites. This is a venue specific rule. Be sure to use the "Please don't take my drink I'm dancing" coasters so the staff don't dispose of your drink on accident.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Formal (short/midi/and full length gowns, suit/tux/shirt and tie). The wedding colors are white, black, brown, green, pink, and gold. Feel free to match us if you’d like! The groomsman will be wearing dark brown with light pink accents if you’d like to match Carl’s side, and the bridesmaids will be wearing dark gold (tawny from David’s Bridal) if you’d like to match Sara’s side!

Question

The wedding is in November, should I dress warm?

Answer

Every part of the wedding will take place indoors, however depending on weather all you’ll have to consider is the walk into the building.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

No transportation is provided from your hotel to the venue since it’s 100% your choice what your accommodations are. There are hotels I will share as nearby options, there’s also several stunning AirBnBs in the area or on nearby lakes. If you’re local, the venue is also in driving distance for many of our guests. However if you plan on drinking, please don’t drive home afterwards, I hope you all know that.

Question

Is it open or cash bar?

Answer

The main reception bar will be a cash bar, however as a gift to you, we as a couple will be providing drinks during cocktail hour which will include beer, wine, and a specialty cocktail.

Question

Is this venue wheelchair accessible?

Answer

Yes, this venue is accessible. We would not have picked it if it wasn’t. There are handicap parking spaces out front, a ramp, and an elevator inside.

Question

The dance floor is a bit loud, is there somewhere quieter I can sit and relax?

Answer

Yes! That’s one thing we love about this venue. If the music is too loud and you want to have a quieter conversation with someone, need to take a phone call, etc., the grooms lounge after the ceremony is converted into a lounge for all guests to find some quiet.
