FAQs

The Wedding Website of Megan Marr and michael murray
Question

What day should we arrive?

Answer

We recommend arriving in Ireland by Thursday, July 23, to give yourself time to settle in before the festivities begin. We’ll be at the pub in Castleknock on Thursday evening. Feel free to stop by, grab a drink, and hang out at your own pace. Friday July 24, 2026 is the Welcome Party, followed by the wedding on Saturday. There are no official events planned for Sunday, so guests are welcome to depart that day or extend their stay to explore more of Ireland!

Question

What’s the best airport to fly into?

Answer

We recommend flying into Dublin Airport (DUB), which is about 20 minutes from both the castle and the Castleknock Hotel.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We recommend booking a room at the Castleknock Hotel, located less than 10 minutes from Luttrellstown Castle. We’ve reserved a block of rooms at a discounted rate for our guests—please visit the Travel section for booking details and the discount code.

Question

Can I bring my children?

Answer

We’d love for your little ones to join you on the trip to Ireland! However, all wedding events will be adults-only. If you’re traveling with children, we recommend Elisa Babysitting, a trusted local nanny service that provides private childcare at Luttrellstown Castle: elisababysitting.com/luttrellstown-castle-private-childcare-services

Question

What’s the weather like in July?

Answer

Irish summers are mild! Expect daytime temperatures in the 60s–70s°F. In Ireland, rain is always a possibility — we’re hoping for blue skies on the day, but if a little rain falls, we’ll take it as part of the charm.

Question

What should we wear?

Answer

For the welcome party we ask that you were cocktail attire - dresses with a heel for women & blazer-and-dress-pants for men, no tie required. Wedding Day is Black Tie - floor length gowns for women, tuxes with black neckties or bowties. Shoes suitable for walking in grass is recommended.
