Buzzards Roost Viewpoint
This is a beautiful hike we did on our post-engagement trip. It is a 2.6-mile loop trail and moderately challenging. It takes an average of 1 h 36 min to complete. This is a very popular area for birding, hiking, and walking, so you'll likely encounter other people while exploring.
Pfeiffer Beach
The main attraction of Pfieffer Beach is Keyhole Rock - an enormous rock formation with a natural arch. There is a $12 day fee for parking. Parking is limited so we recommend going early in the day.
Bixby Bridge Vista Point
Famous bridge heading from Carmel into Big Sur. Most of you will pass over it on your way - we recommend stopping for a few photos - the view is magnificent!
Henry Miller Memorial Library
If you have time before our ceremony, we recommend checking out the "library" which is actually a bookstore. In addition to Henry Miller, you'll find works by many of the famous beat-era writers. We both recommend On the Road by Jack Kerouac, if you somehow haven't read it!
