As avid music fans, it is only natural that our first encounter was at a local band's album release show. At this show, Dakotah nearly approached John before he joined his friends on stage to play a song. John noticed a woman over his shoulder but they did not speak until later when a tagged band photo led to hours of conversation, ignored work, and even less sleep. After days of laughs and random topics, Dakotah "eloquently" hinted that John should be brave and ask her out. On May 5, 2019, they had their first date-drinks, dinner, a stroll, and lots more conversation. Their evening ended at the landmark Gilbert water tower but began nearly 4 years of pets, plants, music, travel, and laughs.
