Our Love Story

A Pandemic Love Story

Good things do come from a pandemic after all. This is the story of two paths that crossed at the right time. Bethany, a native of Nashville, TN and Dillon, a native of Jackson, TN have many friends, locations, and interests in common but it took a worldwide shutdown to finally allow them to connect. While the world was on lock down, social media was one of our only means of entertainment. Dillon home in Jackson preparing to move to Nashville for the Physical Therapy program at Tennessee State University and Bethany moving home to Nashville from Boston to finish her Post Bachelor Program virtually from Harvard University. A short inbox conversation on Instagram turned into a story that is still being written. A plethora of texts, calls and a few zoom dates later, Bethany and Dillon would finally meet in person May of 2020. During this time, restaurants were “togo only.” With Bethany being a Mexican Food Lover, Dillon and Bethany ordered Mexican food togo and sat in their cars for their first in-person date. Their first adventure was canoeing down the Harpeth River, which was also Dillon's first interaction with Bethany’s Father. Bethany’s father (“A.E.” as Dillon calls him) was concerned about his daughter’s safety with "this guy" he hadn’t met yet. Luckily their adventure was great and would end up being the first of many more. Dillon popped the “Will you be my girlfriend” question on July 18th, 2020. Bethany and Dillon both consider themselves young travel enthusiasts. They enjoy cruises to different countries, staying at tropical resorts and exploring big cities around the USA. Bethany and Dillon have balanced school, work, family, and extracurricular activities such as church and community outreach, while still finding time to build a quality relationship with each other centered around their Christian faith. Finally on March 10, 2023, surrounded by family & friends, Dillon asked the question of the year…
