Patrick and Jennifer used to be neighbors in Madison township, Middletown, Ohio. Both were young and wanted to date other people. Patrick was 3 years older he soon graduated and signed up for the Army. Both never quit thinking of each other. Jennifer would often run into Patrick when he was in town visiting. Neither ever told each other about their feelings. 20 years later, Patrick had been living close to Jennifer for years but they never got schedules straight to meet up. Finally they got their schedules straight to meet up for a few hours. Jennifer mentioned she was looking for a good roommate that would tolerate her special needs son and all the medical equipment that comes with him while they were catching up. Patrick has a nursing degree and was a combat medic in the Army. Patrick also works at a day center for special needs adults. Patrick met Adian and they both thought about the roommate thing for a few months. About 6 months later Jennifer was looking for someone to hang out with and remembered Patrick had Friday nights off work. So she text him to see if he was busy. He was but would be finished around midnight. She went to a waffle house and waited on him. He picked her up and said he needed to go check on his dad he was admitted to the hospital. So that's what we did on our first date we went to visit his dad in the hospital. Then we watched movies and talked and talked and talked. Patrick kissed Jennifer and she knew it was it. She called her best friends Mandy and Autumn and said I found my husband. 2 months later they moved into a duplex together. 4 months later Patrick surprised Jennifer and proposed at the star wars fireworks at Hollywood Studios, Disney World. He proposed February 15, 2017 in front of Adian, Anna, Matt, Polly and Grandma Jean. Anna filmed it to share with family and friends. This is Jennifer's first wedding after praying for her husband night after night for years , God has delivered the perfect man for her and Adian.
