Tuesday Excursion - Visit to Ethical Local Coffee Production

9:00 am - 1:00 pm

$38 per person This tour, facilitated by De La Gente, includes round-trip transportation from Antigua to the coffee producer's home, Spanish-English interpretation, tour through the coffee fields including a demonstration of traditional roasting & grinding, a cup of coffee at the producer's home and a 12 ounce bag of roasted coffee. De La Gente is a 501(c)3 that envisions a coffee industry that is equitable and inclusive, that enables small-scale farmers to earn a dignified income and live prosperous lives, that facilitates authentic relationships between coffee producers and buyers, and that prioritizes economic, social, and environmental needs of everyone involved. Today, De La Gente works in partnership with four coffee-growing regions, nine cooperatives total, representing over 140 small-scale coffee producers, and channels nearly $350,000 each year to farming communities in sales alone.

Wednesday Activity Morning - Art Gallery & Museum Tour

10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Art Museum & Gallery Tour - ~$25 per person Guatemala´s thriving art scene blends centuries-old European and Mayan traditions with contemporary perspectives. Artists express the passion of their culture and history in diverse genres and media, making their work attractive to discerning collectors. Antigua, Guatemala hosts more than 15 artist studios, and Guatemala City is home to numerous world-class artists with avant-garde proposals. All tours leave from Antigua, Guatemala and are offered in English or Spanish.

Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and fun hats and fascinators.
