Our Engagement Story
Starting in September of 2018 I began planning to propose to her. I wrote a letter to her father asking for her hand in marriage and gave it to him in Mexico where he proposed to his wife! No amount of taco's and tequila that day calmed my nerves but none the less, he gave me the approval!
We are both family oriented people and enjoy the simple things so I decided to organize a Christmas Party at my parents house so our entire families’ could meet for the first time (if that doesn't make you nervous enough).
I decided to make a book listing all the things I love about her with matching polaroid pictures that we have taken over the years. Everybody knew about the plan and nobody spoiled it (there were many close calls...DADS...). I wrapped it like a Christmas present and gave it to her in front of the fireplace and that 1 minute she spent flipping through the pages felt like an hour while I waited to get on my knee. To this day, that was the best day of my life. -Austin
