Worth the Wait

We met while stationed at MacDill AFB in Tampa, FL. Tia's Version: We were both working in the clinic and always made small talk in passing. I also got a kick out of Ian's accent so I would go down to his office with my coworker just to talk to him. A coworker/friend of mine had a birthday party at the Blue Martini and Ian and his friend were invited. At the party we had a mutual connection and hung for most of the evening. We ended the night by exchangng phone numbers. A couple days later Ian asked me to be his Valentine. During our first date we dined on Five Guys Burgers and went to Target. After a short but fabulous courtship we decided the time wasn't right but we knew we were meant to be...fast forward 7 years and here we are! Ian's Version: Living in beautiful Tampa, FL was a dream come true for me...and then I met Tia. One night while we were both out with friends at a birthday celebration, we finally had an opportunity to talk and get to know one another outside of work. Over the next few months we got closer and closer learning about one another and enjoying each other's company as we explored and enjoyed the top interest we both shared..food. Due to unforeseen circumstances, went our separate ways but always kept in touch to ensure we were both still kicking, and happy/healthy. During our initial time in Tampa, I was still maturing and felt I was unable to be the man Tia needed. A few years past and in September 2018 I sent a message to Tia letting her know I was still deeply interested in seeing what could be between us. This time regardless of roadblocks and distance I was determined to not let anything come between us. On December 25, 2019 I asked Tia to allow me to protect, love, and cherish her for the rest of our lives! From our first conversation years ago to this very moment, I knew Tia would be the woman that was worth the wait...
