Liv and Bobby first met during their sophomore year at Holy Cross. Bobby loved to visit his friends on Liv's floor of Healy, where he would often have fun causing general mayhem and filling the halls with laughter. His amusing and mischievous attitude caught Liv's attention, and they quickly became close friends. You could often find them around campus, at Kimball Dining Hall eating meals together with their friends, hanging out on the Hoval, or going on adventures to explore campus. It's still heavily debated who made the first move (each would say the other), but they made things official in February of 2019, when Bobby opened Liv's eyes to the world of Chipotle on their first date (changing her life forever). It was impossible for Liv not to fall in love with his big heart, kind personality, and caring nature. Just over a year later, life threw them a curveball as a global pandemic forced them to prematurely depart from college and begin the journey of a long distance relationship. Soon after, Liv departed for Arizona as she began her year of service with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps, but neither the pandemic nor the distance could stand in the way of their love. Bobby often claims that Liv's joyous and goofy attitude, her ability to always put a smile on everyone's face, and the way she always looks on the bright side are the cornerstones to their ever growing love. As Bobby would say, distance means so little when someone means so much. They spent many late nights FaceTiming and chatting on the phone, even celebrating date nights virtually with Chipotle on either end. There were several long flights back and forth, and Arizona holds a special place in both their hearts. Before they knew it, Liv's year was up and she returned to New England, moving to Massachusetts to be closer Bobby. Since then, there have been countless trips between Springfield, Boston, and Connecticut. They have enjoyed annual trips to Maine, the Durham Fair (in Durham, CT), and Squam Lake (in Center Harbor, NH), creating countless memories with the people they love. In May of 2024, Bobby pulled off the biggest surprise yet when he asked the love of his life to marry him. He claims he wasn't nervous at all (which was of course a lie). He tricked her into getting dressed up (which everyone knows is quite the challenge) and going out to a fancy lunch with both of their families. Unbeknownst to Liv, Bobby had planned for some of their close friends and family to secretly hide in the neighbor's house while they were out. When they returned, Liv immediately tried to change out of her dress but Bobby convinced her to take a few more photos down on the beach. Begrudgingly, she agreed and followed him to the sand. With her facing the water, Bobby confessed he didn't actually want to take a photo with her. Before Liv could realize what was happening, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. After getting over her initial shock, Liv of course said yes, which was met by cheering and shouts of joy from their friends and family as they jumped out from their hiding spots. Liv and Bobby are so excited to begin the next chapter of their lives together. They are so thankful for everyone who has played a part in their relationship and supported them throughout the years. They are looking forward to celebrating their immense love and happiness with all their favorite people in July of 2025!
