Dear Loved Ones, We wanted to take a moment to share some news with you. We have made the decision to elope and have a smaller, more intimate ceremony. Please understand that this decision was not taken lightly, and we genuinely regret that we are unable to extend an invitation to you. Planning a wedding became too stressful, mentally and financially, and we decided that eloping is the best option for us. We truly love and value the relationship we have with you and want you to know that your presence means a great deal to us. It is difficult for us to imagine celebrating this significant milestone without all of our loved ones present, but we have to be mindful of our limitations. We hope you understand our decision and want you to know you are not being left out of our celebration! We want to have a day that truly represents our love! So on May 4th, 2024, we are having a reception where we can celebrate and share joy of our union with our family and friends. Just hit the "Schedule" tab to see all the details about our reception party! From there you can RSVP either on this Paige or on the "RSVP" Paige! Can't wait to see everyone! :) Your support and understanding during this time means the world to us. We appreciate your understanding as we navigate through the complexities of planning our future together. If you have any questions or if you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. Thank you for your love, support, and understanding. We look forward to sharing our special day with you in a different setting and creating beautiful memories together! With warmest regards, Marquis & Briana
From Bri - We met in Sanderson, FL when Milton invited me to their Juneteenth celebration at Jonesville Park. Not much was said but when Milton introduced us I gave him the ol' "what's up" head nod. I wasn’t trying to blow smoke up his behind just because he had gray/green eyes… don’t need em’ cocky! Months went by and we started seeing each other at different parties in Gainesville. We started hanging as friends and feeling each other out. I started hanging with him and his crew: Milt, Mark, & Dee because I had to get out the house and get away from the disappointment that I call my ex (that’s a story for another day). One night I was at Greedy and Jr’s house hanging and listening to music when Mr. Greedy caught himself feeling on my thigh… and I liked it no lie. From there we started talking more and more and I was falling for this man quicker than instant oatmeal! He was a breath of fresh air and always kept it a buck with me, which I appreciate more than you know. I eventually started coming around Sanderson more and around his family. When I met his grandmothers, I knew I had me a diamond in the rough. I always felt in my heart that he was different from the boys I previously dealt with - he was a man. During that time, we both were dealing with other people and truly dating (since I dropped my old baggage like a hot tamale). He helped me grow and I finally felt like I met my match – someone who would level up with me and invest in me as I invest in them. I told him that he deserved the world and that he should get with a winner and the rest was history! It was not love at first sight but the more time I spent with him the more I grew madly in love with him. I thank God for Greedy every day and will cherish him for the rest of my days. From Greedy - We first met at Juneteenth 2016 at Jonesville Park. She came to Sanderson wit Milton to get a glimpse of the country life and new scenery. I said hey, to Bri and Milton, of course she ignored me like I’m a nobody but a playa kept it pushing since she had a boyfriend at the time. A few months roll by, we ran into each other a couple times in town at different parties and clubs but it was nothing too pressing, we were both out experiencing life and trying to understand this so-called adulthood. Then one day, we were hanging out (Me, Milt, Mark, Dee, and Steve) decided to head to a pool party. I see Bri there, I make small talk to peek in her head, she lets me know her and her bf at that time were basically separated. So, I proceed to ask for her number but her friend came up throwing salt in your boy game. Her friend said something but I didn’t want to ask, so as we’re all leaving the party, we run into each other again in the parking lot. She gives me her number and I told her and her friends we were going to get some food and asked if they wanted to come but her friends said no. As we’re leaving she decides she wanted to ride with us and get some food. We’re all talking and she’s asking us questions to get to know us but I’m getting the deep questions. After a few weeks to a month go by, we’re hanging out more, but on this day, she slipped up and said she might be falling in love with me. I was a lil shocked but I didn’t want to tell her i felt the same since we both just started talking. Round the time of my birthday that year, she set up a surprise for me that I didn’t expect or thought any woman i dated would do. After a few days I just go ahead and ask her to be my gf she said yes. And the rest is history.
