MarQueshia and David met at Aliceville High School. They would pass each other in the halls and even eat lunch together with their friends. At that time David just knew MarQueshia as "the girl with the big book bag." One day a friend invited David to an event at MarQueshia's house. They talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other so much that day. David decided to come back to visit MarQueshia more often. MarQueshia trusted her cousin's advice to give him a chance. She allowed David to take her on a date. They began spending more time together building trust and love for one another. Who would have thought a little advice such as "give him a chance" would have brought them this far!

6 years later David asked MarQueshia's father for her hand in marriage. David set his sights on when and where he would propose. The date was Wednesday, January 1, 2020. The setting was Nashville, Tennesse. The occasion was to watch the fireworks show and celebrate their anniversary. MarQueshia's parents were also invited to enjoy the festivities. After a night on the town they headed back to the hotel where they thought their night would come to an end. When they arrived to the hotel, David had one question on his mind. He got on one knee and asked MarQueshia "will you marry me?" With tears in her eyes, MarQueshia replied "Of course bae". As they countdown the days until their wedding day, they can't wait to commit to one another in front of God, their families, and friends.
