How the Engagement's Went Down

Em & I had been talking about being engaged for over a year... most of the time Em would joke with me asking when I was finally going to ask. The week I proposed I remember making Emily feel bad for asking.. telling her to quit making me feel pressured & that rings were too expensive for me to afford haha. Little did she know I had it already all planned out. I invited over some of our closest friends to my now MOH Lilly's house & with over 1,000 rose petals, lights, music etc... this day that I had been dreaming of for so long came to life. Emily came up to the roof throwing up peace signs (literally) thinking the night was just going to be another party, and those peace signs quickly turned down & into shock lol. I got down on one knee & after Em said yes we both cheered like we had just won a super bowl lol. The night turned out amazing & we were so thankful to have our friends there to surround us with so much love. When Emily proposed it was a lot more low-key but still the most amazing day. I showed up to the place that is our now Ceremony site in thoughts of going to a food truck night. (This was after the many complaints of being exhausted haha Emily was probably so annoyed) Em greeted me & as we were walking I was surprised by a picnic set up with pillows, lights, champagne, roses, music, and our favorite.... a charcuterie board. Em and I hadn't spent a ton of time together since the start of my new job so I thought it was just a date night, but as I sat down Emily pulled out my dream ring and after a lot of tears our engagement was complete.
