Is there parking at the venue?

Answer

No. The Griffin House does not have parking. Guests will be parking at Covenant Hood River, which is a local church, and taking a shuttle to the Griffin House. Please view the "Schedule" tab on this website for shuttle times and information.

Is there a shuttle service to/from the venue?

Answer

Yes. There is a shuttle that will take guests from Covenant Hood River, which is a local church, to the venue. Please view the "Schedule" tab on this website for shuttle times and information.

How early can I arrive to the venue?

Answer

Guests are not allowed at the Griffin House until 4pm. The first shuttle will leave at 3:55pm from Covenant Hood River, which is a local church.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Mostly outdoors. The ceremony will be outside on a windy bluff. The reception will be outside under a large tent. If it's not raining, the tent will be open. If it's raining, the tent will be closed.

What is the weather like?

Answer

The weather forecast for August 4th is currently projecting a sunny day, with a high of 92 degrees and a low of 62 degrees. As the venue is on a bluff overlooking the river, wind is expected as well.

What should I wear?

Answer

Guests are encouraged to wear summer garden party attire. For example, summer dresses, nice skirts, or jump suits for women, and slacks with button up shirts for men. As the wedding will take place on a windy bluff, guests are encouraged to avoid big hats and stiletto heels. Guests are also encouraged to bring sunglasses, as the ceremony will be outside in the sun. Guests may also want a light jacket or shall as it gets cooler in the evening.

Is the ceremony and the reception at the same place?

Yes,. The wedding celebration will take place entirely at the Griffin House.

What type of food will be provided?

Answer

As some of you may already know, Marnie's favorite meal is breakfast. Thus, it should be no surprise that dinner will be a classic brunch buffet featuring, steak, eggs, breakfast potatoes, bacon, and bagels, amongst other things. Dinner will be followed by cake and gourmet s'mores.

Will drinks be provided?

Answer

Yes. Guests will have access to a complimentary bar featuring numerous types of cocktails, and mimosas. There will be plenty of non alcoholic drinks available for Marnie as well for any children in attendance.

How do I get back to my car?

Answer

Guests will take the shuttle from the Griffin House to Covenant Hood River where their car is parked. Please view the "Schedule" tab on this website for shuttle times and information.
