From one very Anxious "Hello"
Depending on who you ask...
It was a cold March 2nd in Oregon, USA ~ and ~ a warm March 2nd in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Randy and Marnicia, worlds and time zones apart, received telecommunication that would be the start of a new chapter in their lives! One that they would write together! He learned of a girl named Marnicia who was interested in finding a husband. And she learned of a guy named Randy who was interested in finding a wife! Less than half an hour after they received each other's numbers, they spent nearly three hours talking to each other on the phone. But don't let that call log fool you! They were both quite nervous and anxious to get started. But, oh, how happy they were that they did! The natural flow of little anecdotes about themselves, respectful humor, and gentle banter settled their minds and hearts and left them wanting more!

As they both looked to Jehovah God before and during their courtship, they were filled with deep gratitude for the gift Jehovah had given them in each other. They are sure that they found each other because of their love and trust in Jehovah. Now, as they step into marriage, they aren't changing that tune — they’re keeping the same melody, just writing a new verse together. We truly thank each and every one of our friends and family, both near and far, from the bottom of our hearts! You have helped us to be who we are as individuals. Many of you have supported us in practical ways during the past 8 months as we have gotten to know each other and grown to love each other. As much as we feel like we are gifts to each other, you all have been gifts to us, the gifts that keep on giving! We look forward to continuing our love story in marriage and are grateful for every line each of you helps us write.
