Where is North Star Gatherings?

North Star Gatherings is located in the Front Range of the Colorado Rocky Mountains. North Star Gatherings' elevation is 8,941 feet. The Front Range mountains run from Casper, Wyoming to Pueblo, Colorado and include many summits above 13,000 and 14,000 feet.

How should I get to North Star Gatherings?

Answer

We invite you not to drive to North Star Gatherings. Wedding guests are invited to leave their car in Golden and take a shuttle to the venue. Guests staying at Table Mountain Inn may leave their car at the hotel. Guests not staying at the hotel may park in one of several public parking lots around the hotel. Please enjoy the many hairpin turns on the unpaved road that winds above Idaho Springs! The same shuttle will depart the venue in the evening and return you to the hotel.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is cocktail attire. Plan for an outdoor ceremony, and an indoor reception. We recommend long sleeves or a warm garment for the outdoor ceremony.

Should I take precautions regarding the elevation?

Answer

Yes. Please be cognizant that some people experience altitude sickness at elevation. Some people may feel more impaired when drinking alcohol at elevation. We encourage you to stay hydrated, and to listen to your body.

Will there be wildlife at the wedding?

Answer

Maybe! Moose, black bears, mountain lions, elk and bighorn sheep live in the Front Range mountains. Per Colorado Parks & Wildlife, "Don't feed, don't approach, don't harass."
