HOW WE MET

It all started with a mutual friend in September of 2015. This friend had made it his goal to successfully set up two of his friends, and it finally worked with us. He gave Cole my number and we started texting and calling each other constantly. A few months later, even though Cole was living in Washington and I was living in California, we decided to start dating and figure the rest out later. And here we are :)

THE PROPOSAL

Cole bought the ring late October, 2019 and started to try to plan the proposal. Early November I had hinted that I wanted to have a date night in the near future, so Cole made a reservation at Rosa Rosa, a cute little restaurant downtown that was connected to the Dossier hotel. I was coming from Hillsboro and he was coming from Vancouver, but little did I know, he arrived early to book a hotel room at the Dossier. I met him at the restaurant and as we ate I kept asking things like "How did you choose this place?' "What are we going to do after?" "What hotel is connected to this?" and through all my questioning Cole played it very cool. After dinner, we walked towards the lobby and Cole said "Wait I have a surprise" and reached for the elevator button. At that point I knew something was going on. We went up to the room, and there were roses and a little box on the bed, and when I turned around Cole was down on one knee with tears in his eyes. He asked, I said "of course!", we cried, we popped champagne, and we were engaged!
