Tyler moved out to the Chicagoland area in October of 2021. Fast forward to three months later, Lacy was checking her dating app, Hinge, and came across Tyler's profile. She accidentally sent him a "rose" (which is a super-like) since Hinge suggested it to her. Tyler then accepted her rose and messaged her. After about a week of talking, the two decided to go on a date on a snowy night in January at the Hala Kahiki. It wasn't until about two hours before their date that they actually confirmed they would go out. Very happy they braved the cold and met that night!
