How We Met

March 15, 2019

We worked for the same company close to 3 years but never met in person. Brandon came to the office one day to visit the c-suite but ended up spending most of the day in my office. During lunch that day, he mentioned that he could build me a cat cage for my cat lol. The next day I emailed him a cat cage to be funny. We spent all day texting and all night talking on the phone! We knew that we had something special from the very beginning! The building in our picture that has the three triangles on the side is the building where we met.

First Date

March 2019

Mexican food for dinner, of course.....coffee for breakfast, the end!

I Love You

April 21, 2019

The weekend before my birthday, I drove to Pecos to visit Brandon at work. When I was leaving on Sunday, he handed me a gift and a card. I was so surprised that he had planned ahead for me. When I opened the card it said "I Love You". I loved him too!!

The Proposal

December 19, 2020

We went to the Japanese Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth to take some landscape pictures, so I thought. When I came out of the restroom, Brandon told me that the calendars we had made were ready. When I picked up the calendar (I didn't even notice that it said Amber & Brandon Finley) there was a cake under it that said "Will you marry me"? When I turned around Brandon was on his knee proposing. The ring he proposed with was a rubber safety band that we saw together at Academy several months prior and he made a joke about that is the ring he was going to buy me lol. He also had two cameras set up recording. It was perfect!

Our Life

March 16, 2019 - current

We have spent a lot of time on the road during these last two years driving between West Texas where he works, my house in Buda and his house in Stephenville (From Buda to his work is 420ish miles, my house to his house is 176 miles and his work to Stephenville is 320ish miles). We have a combined total of four cats and who knows how many rabbits that our daughter Skylah has for showing. We have taken up photography as a hobby together. We've visited seven states and have taken countless road trips to various beaches and parks including California where we ate the best jumbo nachos ever, Brazos Bend State Park where we saw baby ducks get eaten by a mean ol' alligator, and The Grand Canyon where we saw the most beautiful sunrises! Life has also thrown us some pretty tough obstacles. But, no matter what comes our way, we face it head on and by each other's side. We are so grateful to do life together!
