Middleburg
A charming town known for horse country, wineries, boutique shops, and beautiful countryside views. Middleburg is perfect for strolling through historic streets, enjoying a wine tasting, or having lunch at one of the town’s cozy restaurants. Distance from Morais: ~35–40 minutes
Historic Old Town Warrrenton
A charming historic downtown with local boutiques, coffee shops, and restaurants. It’s a lovely spot to stroll, grab brunch, or explore before or after the wedding weekend. Check the website for shops/events that may be going on during your stay! Distance from Morais ~ 15-20 minutes
National Harbor
Located along the Potomac River just outside Washington, DC, National Harbor is a lively waterfront destination with restaurants, shops, and scenic views. Visitors can stroll the marina, ride the iconic Capital Wheel for panoramic views of the river, enjoy waterfront dining, or explore nearby attractions like The Awakening. It’s a great spot to spend an afternoon or evening while visiting the area. Distance from Morais ~ 1 hour 15 minutes
Shenandoah National Park
This is where we got engaged! Shenandoah is a beautiful national park in the Blue Ridge Mountains, known for scenic drives and hiking trails. Guests can drive along Skyline Drive, stop at mountain overlooks, or explore waterfalls and forest trails. Distance from Morais: ~1 hour
Luray Caverns
If you're heading down south towards Shenandoah, this is an additional must-see! The largest caverns in the eastern U.S. and honestly one of the coolest natural attractions in Virginia. Distance from Morais ~ 1 hour 20 minutes
