It was a rare powder day and Marlo had mad Powder Panic! Oblivious to everything around her but the fresh face shots she was about to get on KT, she had no idea that it was going to be a powder day for the books. As Kyle and Marlo got into line at KT they met up with her dad and mom. Surprisingly Marlo's mom had her "little sister" Tarni with her saying they ran into each other in the parking lot. All of this went straight over Marlo's head as she was picturing her first run down 3 trees. Once on the chair with her dad, Kyle asked if we should go right (towards Chute 75 which is Marlo's all time favorite run) and wait for her mom and Tarni, who were a few chairs behind. Immediately Marlo started arguing with Kyle that they never go right on a powder day when they are this far back in line and they ALWAYS go left to maximize their fresh turns, and that they could ski with her mom on the 2nd lap. Marlo's dad told us he would wait, and that they could go whatever way they wanted. Kyle insisted they wait for her mom. Marlo was a dick and immediately took off skiing to the left, leaving everyone in the dust. Kyle followed and they had an amazing run, until he stopped half way down to take a phone call. Marlo said whoever it is have them meet in line, LET'S GO! They get back in line with some more friends and it dawns on Marlo that they are skiing with a posse. She hates skiing in a group on a powder day (No friends on a Powder Day). At the top, Kyle starts towards Chute 75. When Marlo skis over to him and their friends, Kyle pretends his binding is broken. Then he is down on one knee with Marlo's hands in his and starts proposing. Marlo instantly tells him to stop, thinking it's a joke and that everyone is staring. Then it FINALLY dawns on Marlo that this is really happening as Kyle pulls the ring out. She is ecstatic! They ski a victory lap down Chute 75 to the bottom and are greeted with friends, flowers, and champagne. A powder day to remember!
