For a high-energy alternative to hiking, the alpine coaster at Wilderness Run is a great local thrill. It is a cross between a roller coaster and a toboggan that lets you control your own speed as you race through the forest and around three circular loops. The facility also features an aerial adventure course with 28 obstacles and an on-site coffee shop for those who prefer to stay on the ground. Since it is a popular destination, a registered check-in time is required to guarantee a ride, and tickets should be purchased on-site upon arrival.
