Marley and Thomas met in the summer of 2018 after moving to Chicago to begin their post-college lives. Marley and her roommate, Leah, looking for Friday night plans, purchased a case of beer and knocked on the door of the boys living on the floor above them in their Old Town walk-up. After Thomas and his roommates, Nick and Luis, hesitantly let the (somewhat pushy) east-coast girls in, that night consisted of a few rounds of games and puzzles, a couple of hours of chatting, some dancing at Benchmark, and many of those beers. From that night on, the 1716 N North Park Ave crew, joined by other Michigan and Vanderbilt friends, continued to explore Chicago, enjoyed many brunches at Nookies, and ruled the intra-mural basketball scene. Marley and Thomas grew closer (although their friends realized this before they did), and in the Spring of 2019, they began dating. Fast forward to now, and Marley and Thomas have been together for over 5 years through a global pandemic, new jobs, a completely new career, a Michigan football national championship, and a move to Detroit. We are so grateful to have you all in our lives and can't wait to celebrate with you :)
