I FINALLY put a ring on it

Marlene loves lights so I planned a night at a Halloween light event so that I can pop the question. The event was cancelled due to the rain. I had to make a decision, to wait or simply purpose another way. I wrote a letter to marlene so that I can read it to her. I didn't want her to know that the question was going to come up. So I also wrote a letter to my mother knowing how much I appreciate her and my now deceased father. So I read Marlene's letter turned to my mom and read her letter which ended in "And now you will see me get married". In that moment I got on one knee as I removed the ring box out of my sock, I turned to marlene and asked her to marry me.
