Ocean Beach
The Beach! Its not great for swimming, and generally foggy, but bring a jacket and you get a good walk in and can spot snowy plovers, surfers, dog walkers, and great sunsets!
Elkhorn Slough
If you're sticking around for a while and looking to explore, this is a great option! You can drive along the 1 to get great views of the coast. Easily rent a kayak and mooch around the Monterey bay which is littered with sea otters, seals, and shore birds!
Arizmendi Bakery
There is a location of this worker-owned bakery on 9th and Irving (right next to golden gate park and nestled in amongst bars, restaurants and shops). There is another location on Valencia St. (in The Mission District and part of a long strip of more bars, restaurants and shops)
Golden Gate Park
A lovely large park with lakes, trails, botanical gardens, a Japanese tea garden, science and art museums, and a bison paddock!
Presidio of San Francisco
Another big park with lovely trails and views of the ocean and the golden gate bridge.

A public recreation area on the northern shore of San Francisco with hiking trails, beaches, and the occasional seal spotting.
