They met as most kids do in their early 20's... at a college party of course. A simple 5 minute interaction (from what they remember?) that led to a series of events that would change their lives before they ever even knew it. A tale as old as time: Girl meets boy at a party, girl and boy follow each other on Instagram, girl invites boy to come out to the bar but he doesn't make it, boy invites girl to a Super Bowl party the next day and she doesn't make it.. then the next week girl moves 400 mi away to LA. They would go about their lives and forget about that interaction for the next year and half, until Enrique moved back to his home town of Burbank, CA... now only 20 miles separating them. Fate would have Marlen post about going to Porto's bakery which just so happened to be down the street from where Enrique was living at the time. This moment and an Instagram DM later, would lead them to their first date. It was immediately clear to both of them that this was something special. Since their first date in July of 2019, Enrique and Marlen have been absolutely inseparable. ...... Una historia tan vieja como el tiempo: una chica conoce a un chico en una fiesta, ambos se siguen en Instagram, la chica invita al chico a salir al bar, pero él no va, el chico invita a la chica a una fiesta del Super Bowl al día siguiente, y ella no va... y a la semana siguiente, la chica se muda a 640 km de distancia, a Los Ángeles. Seguirían con sus vidas y olvidarían esa interacción durante el siguiente año y medio, hasta que Enrique regresó a su ciudad natal, Burbank, California... ahora a solo 32 km de distancia. El destino quiso que Marlen publicara sobre ir a la panadería Porto's, que casualmente estaba a la vuelta de la esquina de donde Enrique vivía en ese momento. Ese momento, y un mensaje directo de Instagram después, los llevaría a su primera cita. Ambos tuvieron claro de inmediato que esto era algo especial. Desde su primera cita en julio de 2019, Enrique y Marlen han sido absolutamente inseparables.
