FAQs

Question

πŸ“ How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Please search for The Meadow Wedding Barn on Google Maps or Apple Maps. CRITICAL NAVIGATION NOTE: Online maps sometimes attempt to route guests through an old back entrance that is no longer accessible. To avoid getting stuck, please follow these steps: -Turn onto HWY 148 right by the Eros walking track. -Once you make this turn, your GPS will automatically reroute you correctly to the venue entrance. -Do not miss the HWY 148 turn, or your GPS will send you down a blocked path. 🦎 Fun Fact: Why we know this! We discovered this the hard way during our very first venue tour! Our GPS took us down the forbidden backway. The journey turned into a full adventure: a group of ladies in their Sunday best had to move fallen limbs out of the road, and Mrs. Lynn was unexpectedly attacked by lizards! Avoid the wildlife safari and stick to HWY 148.

Question

πŸ‘— What is the dress code?

Answer

We would love to see our guests dressed in beautiful spring colors! β˜€οΈ Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors? Our ceremony will take place outside, and the reception will be held inside. πŸ‘Ÿ A Note on Footwear and Fun Most of the outdoor areas feature paved concrete walkways for easy walking. However, we plan to have outdoor lawn games like cornhole set up on the grass, so please wear shoes comfortable enough for a little friendly competition!

Question

πŸ•’ What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our ceremony begins promptly at 3:00 PM. Please plan to arrive early enough to find parking and grab a seat before the processional starts. On your way to the seating area, you will see a welcome table set up with fans. It is May in Louisiana, so we chose these specifically with your comfort in mind! Please be sure to grab one before taking your seat. πŸš— When does the event end? Our grand departure will be around 9:00 PM.

Question

πŸ‘Ά Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! All of our guests with children were sent an invitation extended to the whole family. πŸ“ How do I RSVP for my family? When you RSVP online, the system will automatically show everyone included on your invitation. You have two options: Bring the whole crew: RSVP for the entire family. OR Make it a date night: Leave the kids at home and RSVP for just you and your partner if you are looking for a "grownup" night out! πŸ–οΈ Special Activities for Children If you do bring the kids, we will have a designated coloring table set up just for them! Even better, their finished coloring pages will act as their very own special "guestbook" for us to keep and look back on.

Question

πŸ‘€ Am I allowed a plus-one?

Answer

Our guest list is carefully accounted for. When you RSVP online, the system will explicitly show whether you have been allotted a plus-one. πŸ’ How do I RSVP with a guest? If you were given a plus-one and plan to bring them, please complete the RSVP process for both you and your guest together so we have an accurate headcount.

Question

πŸ“Έ Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We understand that you want to capture memories, but we kindly ask that you keep your phones and cameras away during the ceremony. πŸ™…β€β™€οΈ Please Do Not Block the Photographer We have hired a professional photographer to capture every moment of our ceremony. Please do not hold up phones or step into the aisle, as this can block her view and ruin the official wedding photos. πŸ“³ Please Silence Your Phones We want everyone to be fully present with us. Please ensure all cell phones and devices are completely silenced or turned off before the music starts and the ceremony begins. πŸ–ΌοΈ Sharing Photos Later We promise to share our beautiful professional gallery with everyone after the wedding! Once the ceremony is over and the reception begins, feel free to take out your phones and take as many photos as you like.

Answer

Your love and support mean the absolute most to us! Question

✍️ Do you have a guest book?

Answer

Yes! We will have a couple of different non-traditional "guest books" at our wedding. 🎨 Where can I find them? Please look for them in the reception area once the ceremony concludes. Be sure to stop by and take part in signing or contributing to one or both of them before the night ends!

πŸ“Έ Will there be a photo booth or backdrop?

Answer

Yes! We will have a dedicated photo stand ready and waiting for your best selfies and group shots during the reception. πŸ“± Don't forget to use our hashtag!
