Getting There

For most of our SoCal friends and family Joshua Tree is only a short drive. For those who are a little further away, you can choose to drive or fly. You will need a car to get to and around the desert for the weekend. We highly support any and all carpool situations. We recommend flying into John Wayne Airport (SNA) or LAX and renting a car. As a fair warning- although the tickets to LAX are generally cheaper LA traffic on a Friday afternoon is not for the faint hearted.

Joshua Tree is famous for its beautiful and plentiful Airbnbs. To help you find the best rental, we've compiled a list of options! We recommend booking as soon as you can to secure a good one. We also support collaborating with friends and family on lodging.

Motels

We have not reserved a hotel block since lodging is plentiful and everything is about a 10-20 minute drive. Joshua Tree has a couple motels of various degrees of quality and nearby towns such as 29 Palms and Yucca Valley have a few standard chains. We've curated a list for you to choose from.
