Emma and Adam met in a way that only God could have orchestrated. In 2024, Emma felt God calling her from California to North Carolina, and she followed in faith. About a year later, a colleague, Becky, mentioned a young man at her church she thought Emma would be perfect for—Isaac, the pastor’s son. She even tried to set them up on a blind date. But here’s where the story takes a turn. Isaac mentioned this potential date to his good friend and roommate Adam, describing Emma as athletic, a former college golfer, passionate about her faith, and driven. Isaac wasn’t particularly interested, but Adam was—he immediately thought Emma sounded like the kind of woman he had been praying for! When Isaac called Becky’s daughter to decline the date and suggest Adam instead, the answer was a firm no. Isaac had to take her out first, leaving Adam a bit discouraged. Isaac went on the date the next day and came back telling Adam, “Man, I felt like I was on a date with your wife.” He knew exactly the kind of woman Adam had been praying for, and Emma fit that description perfectly. Isaac let Emma know the match wasn’t right and told Adam to wait seven days before reaching out. Adam waited successfully the full seven days and on Sunday, April 13th, he recorded an audio message about 25 times until it sounded right, and sent it over along with three photos to Emma…from Emma’s perspective she was very impressed by this boldness that Adam had in sending this thoughtful audio message. Emma responded with excitement and agreed to talk on the phone to set up the details. After a great conversation, Emma was very much impressed by how Adam took action and his intentionality with details and said yes to a first date later that week. From their very first date, everything clicked..they were aligned in every area of life, faith, passions, goals, and values and it quickly became clear that God had been preparing them for each other long before they met. Their patience and trust in the Lord led them straight to their best friend, life partner, and the answer to so many prayers. And this is just the beginning of Adam and Emma’s love story here on earth.
