FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions
Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

Please book your flight into Oaxaca International Airport (OAX). It’s the closest airport to the city and about 20–30 minutes from most hotels in the City Center.

Question

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

We recommend using Transportación Ejecutiva en Oaxaca (+52 951 517 2039) or a local taxi. Rideshare services like Uber and Lyft are not available in Oaxaca.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We have reserved a block of rooms at Quinta Real Oaxaca, where many of our events will be held. We also recommend hotels and Airbnbs in Centro Histórico.

Question

How do I book my hotel room?

Answer

Please contact our hotel agent directly by email or phone, their contact information can be found on our wedding website. We recommend booking early via email, as room availability is limited.

Question

By when should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by September 19, 2025 so we can finalize all arrangements.

Question

What happens if I do not RSVP by the deadline?

Answer

If we don’t receive your RSVP by the deadline, you will be marked as “Not Attending.” We will send reminders beforehand, but after final counts are submitted, we unfortunately won’t be able to add anyone else.

Question

May I bring a guest with me?

Answer

Our guest list is invite-only. To keep the celebration intimate, we can only accommodate those who are named on the invitation and have RSVP’d. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Question

What should I do if I cannot make the event?

Answer

No worries at all! Just RSVP “No” so we can plan accordingly. You’ll be missed!

Question

What time should I arrive to the church ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly. Please arrive by 4:15 PM to get settled. Please be sure to bring a shawl or light sweater for the church ceremony, as bare shoulders are not permitted inside the church.

Question

What happens after the church ceremony?

Answer

After the mass ceremony, we will all step outside and join in a traditional Calenda - a festive Oaxacan parade with music, dancing, and celebration through the streets. It’s one of our favorite local traditions, and we can’t wait to experience it with you!

Question

Will the ceremony and reception be hosted indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Both the church ceremony and reception will take place indoors, while the cocktail hour will be held just outside the reception venue.

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

Think over the top, festive colors, and comfortable shoes to dance all night in (and for the cobblestone streets). Gentlemen, we highly encourage your best Norteño or Charro attire.
