Let's get married!

Our story began on Nov 29, 2018 at Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen in Findlay, Ohio where we were both invited to a mutual friend's birthday party. We ended up getting to sit next to each other where we talked and flirted the entire night. Our friends made sure to point that out to us. I guess we weren't being very discreet. After that night, Nick and I both wanted to see the other again, but never said anything. Me (Marla) being me, I got home and added him on Facebook. I hoped this would cause him to message me, but all he did was add me back the next day. I became inpatient and didn't have the guts to message him myself, so I followed him on Instagram. That did the trick because Nick ended up messaging me. He was very sweet and ended up asking me on a date. Our first date was at The Greek Garden in Findlay. We ate lunch and spent the day getting to know each other. It was wonderful. Nick is from Monroe, Michigan and I am from Sidney, Ohio. Unfortunately I was at the University of Findlay for only a short time because Christmas break was soon. That didn't stop us though because we saw each other for Christmas and New Years. After that, we saw each other when we could. Once I graduated though, things changed. I moved to Sidney and we were now two hours apart. Luckily though, we both knew we were going to be in each other's lives forever. So ever since then, we have been going back and forth to see each other. Fast forward to Aug 26, 2020. We decided to take a long weekend vacation in Indiana. We went shopping, axe throwing, bowling, arcading, and hiking in a nature preserve. Little did I know, Nick was planning a huge surprise. Three days later, while on the hike, we were on top of a gorgeous hill outlooking the nature preserve, and Nick got down on one knee and proposed. It was a special moment that will never be forgotten. Out history started from the day we met and now we will continue it for the rest of our lives.
