We’re getting married!!

Nathan and Marla met at the gym. Coming out of the pandemic in 2021, they both became members at Planet Fitness as they resumed business. It was several months of secretly watching each other from across the gym, hellos, and friendly conversation. One day in August of that year Marla decided to reach out to Nathan via social media to see if he wanted to hang out. Marla typed a friendly message asking if Nathan wanted to hang out and “grab a drink or something”. Marla got nervous to send it and asked her daughter Brooklynn to read it to see how it sounded. Brooklynn read the message and hit send before Marla could stop her. From there, the rest is history! They officially began their relationship on September 6, 2021 and have become the best of friends and the happiest both of them have ever been.

Marla and Nathan had talked several times about getting married and what their future looked like. One of the sweet things Nathan does every morning as he’s an early bird, is bring Marla coffee in bed when she wakes up. So on the morning of 11/19/2023, Nathan brought Marla a cup of coffee and said, “I love bringing you your coffee every morning. Would you do me the honor of allowing me to bring you coffee every morning for the rest of your life? Will you marry me?” And presented her the most beautiful ring made of family stones passed down to him. Of course Marla said YES!
