We met at a fantasy football draft party at a mutual friends house. The only thing Markus said to me the whole night was, "will you pass me that paper." I texted a friend after the draft party to say "I met this really cute guy tonight, but we didn't even speak!" Later that week we were playing against each other in fantasy football. Markus texted me on a Friday night to boast that he was going to win our game and invited me out for drinks that evening. I met him for drinks and the rest is history.

We were engaged on June 15, 2018 while on a cruise to the Bahamas with my family. He proposed on the last day of our cruise. It was such a special and personal moment.
