While we love your children, we've chosen to have an adults-only reception. Children are welcome at the ceremony. We have worked with our venue to find recommended local babysitting services that would be available to come to your hotel the night of the wedding. We will also be hosting a kid's party at the La Fonda hotel from 4:30P-10P, the night of the wedding. We will be providing food, games, and movies. Your sitter can take your kids to the private party area. Santa Fe has many kid-friendly activities and we will be including children at the Welcome Party on 12/30/25.
Yes!! Our venue and wedding planner recommended with Patty Cake Nannies (https://www.pattycakenannies.com/childcare). You can reach out to coordinate childcare. Care.com also has vetted sitters in the area.
Santa Fe, NM is high desert so the temperatures can vary. In late December, Santa Fe, NM typically experiences average high temperatures in the mid 40s Fahrenheit and lows in the low 30s Fahrenheit. There's a chance of snowfall. We recommend bringing layers and winter attire, so you can explore the town.
Santa Fe, New Mexico, sits at an elevation of 7,500 feet, which can affect visitors with altitude sickness symptoms like headaches, shortness of breath, fatigue, and dizziness. We recommend staying hydrated, limiting caffeine and drinking responsibly.
The entirety of the evening will take place at La Fonda on the Plaza. There is parking onsite, for those who are driving. We will be transitioning to different rooms in the hotel throughout the evening. Hotel staff will be guiding guests throughout. However, if you get lost hotel staff will be able to assist you.
We will not be providing transportation after the wedding. If you are not staying at La Fonda on the Plaza or a hotel within walking distance, we recommend pre-booking your transportation home through any of the vendors listed under the Travel tab.
