We met in our very first college class - Mandarin Chinese - and we became friends senior year when Mark moved in with a mutual friend (also from that Chinese class) and I spent all my time in their apartment. Our first kiss was the result of a bet we made on who would win an Oscar while we watched the Academy Awards and did homework together. This may be the last bet with Mark that I ever lost, but I'm not sorry.

Fast forward ten years, and Mark took me on vacation to Charleston, SC, nervously carrying around the ring he had designed around his grandmother's diamond. He decided to propose at the Angel Oak Tree, a 500-year-old live oak, because I had always talked about getting married under a big party tree, like in The Shire, and he knew I would love it. We were the only people there when he started his speech, but by the time he got down on one knee, another couple had come by and took pictures for us. It was perfect. We're so excited to celebrate the next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Scranton!
