Michelle moved to a new city without many friends and no family. She left Boston, her home for 6 years, to pursue a career in nursing at one of the best nursing schools in the country, University of Pittsburgh. One day she was talking with her friend Rose who encouraged her to try online dating. As an extroverted person, Michelle thought it wasn't for her, but she decided to give it a try anyhow. Skeptical of this whole online dating approach, Michelle placed a riddle on her cover story. If you solved the riddle, then you got the privilege to start talking to her, learn her name, and maybe even take her out on a date. Can you figure out the riddle? Oxygen and magnesium walk into a bar...what does the bartender say? Now, there were some men who go it right, others who didn't. But Jake went a step further and messaged Michelle, "OMg! I had a joke about oxygen and potassium....but it was just OK!" *thump thump* *thump thump* went Michelle's corny heart. From that day forward, she loved talking to Jake and getting to know him. Their first date was after Michelle's 12-hour nursing shift. Knowing the city a bit better than Michelle, Jake suggested that he treat her to a few of his favorite places. It started at Smoke BBQ Taqueria. This was a BYOB joint where Jake brought a bottle of Gnarly Head red wine. After putting our name on the waitlist, we headed to Industry Public House for a Smokestack. This delicious concoction began by smoking wood chips at the bar over neat bourbon with a dash of simple syrup and ended with a twist of orange. WOW. Then came dinner at Smoke where the Queso and tacos will blow your mind. We then left Smoke and stopped at La Grapperia for an after dinner drink. At the end of the night, Jake walked Michelle back to her bicycle, and kissed her goodnight, under the Pittsburgh stars. Michelle rode home smiling and thinking about how wonderful a night she had. The rest is history...
