We first crossed paths in high school, when Mitchell was on the wrestling team with Markie’s brother, occasionally coached by her dad. Wrestling may have been the reason our paths crossed, but it wasn’t long before we found a deeper connection. What started with shy glances across the gym turned into the beginning of a love story we never could have scripted. When it came time for college, fate kept us side by side. We both chose the University of South Florida—Go Bulls!—where late-night study sessions, football games, and countless little moments made it clear that we had found something special in each other. After graduation, Tampa felt like the natural place to put down roots, and over the years we’ve shared a life filled with love, laughter, and a partnership that continues to grow stronger with time. On May 15, 2025, during a cruise to the Bahamas, Mitchell asked the most important question of all. With the ocean as our backdrop, he got down on one knee, and with happy tears and hearts full of joy, we knew the answer was always going to be yes. From high school bleachers to Caribbean sunsets, our journey has been one of growing together, side by side. And now, we can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife—surrounded by the family and friends who have been part of our story all along.
