Ryan and Jonathan were roommates and ran track together in college. Both are fierce competitors and to this day, they have yet to determine who is fastest - similar to Rocky and Apollo in Rocky III.

Abbie is Markie's oldest friend; basically family. Abbie saw Markie through her awkward phase, which ended in 2017. Markie may not have survived to adulthood without Abbie.

Nicole is Markie's favorite advice-giver and best travel partner. They attended Marquette together, and have been on countless adventures since.

Justin was another of Jonathan's college teammates. He convinced Jonathan to join Theta Chi Fraternity and is responsible for all of the bad decisions that followed. Great guy though.

Liz was the first friend Markie made while living in Washington, D.C. She's a terrible influence, a great partner in crime, and an amazing woman.

Not much is known about Brian Wilber before 1999. Since he and Jonathan became friends while running track in high school, they have been close. Brian is a world champion RISK player; he will beat anyone who challenges him.

Annie has a lot of feelings, and no questions. She met Markie through osmosis, and it's like they were always a part of each others' lives.

Zach was also a teammate of Jonathan's in college. Jonathan has always admired his ability quote movies in their entirety - he knows the Big Lebowski by heart. Ask him about it.

Sam is Markie's favorite sibling - Anne and Steve's second favorite child. He's single, ladies.

David is Jonathan's older brother - he's a proud husband and father of two. Growing up, David had dreams of becoming a professional wrestler. Over and over he would put Jonathan in head locks, and drop The People's Elbow. Fortunately, he wised up and became a teacher.
