WHAT DOCUMENTATION DO I NEED?

Answer

A valid US Passport Book (not Passport Card) is required for all US citizens to travel to the Dominican Republic. Your passport must be valid for a minimum of six (6) months beyond your return date. Failure to comply can result in denied travel. An Electronic Entry/Exit Form (E-Ticket) must be completed by each traveler prior to arrival in the Dominican Republic. You may be required to show proof of completion when checking in for your flight(s) to Punta Cana.

WHO WILL BOOK MY FLIGHTS?

Answer

Wedding guests will be responsible for booking their own airfare. The airport you will fly into is PUJ (Punta Cana, DR) and is approximately 45 minutes from the hotel. Upon return, you will depart from the hotel four (4) hours prior to your return flight time (approximate ground transfer time is 45 minutes). You may want to consider booking a later departure flight. We recommend booking "safe connections" that allow ample time for layovers. For domestic departures, we recommend two hour connections for domestic departures and three hour connections for international returns to allow sufficient time for customs and security when returning to the United States. Consider the travel season and allow extra time for deicing or potential weather delays. We strongly recommend that you book your air directly on the airline's website. Using a third-party vendor, e.g., Expedia, is NOT recommended, as the airline will be unable to assist you should any issues arise during travel. We recommend that you do NOT book a Basic Economy ticket and instead book Economy/Main Cabin fares. Basic Economy will NOT allow ANY changes once booked. Guests must send their air itinerary to Vacation Vibes Travel by October 1st, 2026 for hotel transportation to be arranged.

IS THERE AN AIRPORT SHUTTLE SERVICE?

Transportation between the airport and the hotel will be included in all reservations unless declined by the wedding guest. Guests may choose to upgrade to private transportation at their own expense; this option is valid for up to six (6) travelers arriving and departing on the same flights and will be charged accordingly.

DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?

Answer

Travel Insurance is not required but is strongly recommended. Vacation Vibes Travel recommends that wedding guests choose one of the following options: Travelex Ultimate: Benefits include trip cancellation for covered reasons, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency evacuation, emergency medical expense, and more. Travel Protection Plus (Cash Refund): Benefits include trip cancellation for any reason, trip interruption, travel delay, emergency evacuation, emergency medical expense, and more. Decline Travel Insurance: Should you choose not to purchase one of the options outlined above, you will be required to complete a Decline Insurance Form at the time of booking. If you choose to purchase travel insurance on your own, this form must still be completed.

WHEN ARE PAYMENTS DUE?

Initial Deposit: $200/per person is due at the time of booking Second Deposit: 50% of the remaining balance is due by July 1st, 2026 Final Payment: Remaining balance is due by September 1st, 2026 *Please note that all payments are considered non-refundable and may not be covered by travel insurance.

DO I HAVE TO BOOK WITH THE ROOM BLOCK?

Answer

All reservations must be made through Vacation Vibes Travel; resort-direct reservations and/or reservations made with another travel agency cannot be combined with the group and will not qualify for the Bryce-Serrano Wedding Group rates and amenities. Guests booked outside of the room block may be subject to additional charges when participating in group wedding events; off-site wedding guests may be denied a day pass if the resort is full.

CAN I CHANGE OR CANCEL MY STAY?

Once guest reservations are deposited, all changes will incur a $50/per person change fee. Canceled reservations will incur a $200/per person cancellation fee. No reservation changes will be allowed after October 1st, 2026.

WHAT ELSE SHOULD I KNOW?

Answer

Time Zone: The Dominican Republic is on Atlantic Standard Time (AST) and does not adjust to Daylight Saving Time. Official Language: Spanish Official Currency: Dominican Peso (US currency is widely accepted) Drinking Water: Tap water is not considered safe for tourists to drink; we recommend using bottled water for drinking and brushing your teeth. Bottled water will be plentiful at the resort. Safety: While no destination can be considered 100% safe, it is advised that all travelers exercise caution while in a destination regardless of its Travel Advisory status: be aware of your surroundings, choose guided tours when exploring off of the resort, keep valuables locked in your hotel safe while not in use, and do not leave your resort at night. The economies of popular destinations rely heavily on tourism, and locals do their best to ensure visitors have a good experience and continue to return in the future. Guest safety is our partners' top priority, and they will do everything possible to make sure that you are well taken care of during your stay.
