Childhood

2010

Long before we ever knew each other’s names, fate had already begun weaving our story. We shared the same third-grade classroom and lived just two miles apart, growing up side by side without ever realizing how closely our worlds overlapped. Our paths quietly ran parallel which set the stage for a love we wouldn’t discover until years later.

Summer Love

2019

We had known of each other for years, thanks to our mutual childhood best friend, Santiago, who proudly took credit as our would-be matchmaker long before we ever gave him the chance. He tried time and time again in high school, but it wasn’t until the summer before senior year that everything finally aligned. We met at Bruster’s, our local ice cream shop, and from that moment on, something just felt different. The summer of 2019 quickly became one of our favorites filled with laughter, late nights, and spending nearly every day together. When school started back, Mackenzie played a little hard to get, but Andrew knew exactly what he wanted. On October 14, he officially asked Mackenzie to be his girlfriend!

Graduating Highschool

2020

Graduation looked a little different than we had imagined, but our excitement for the future never wavered. Mackenzie and Andrew both got into the same college, Georgia Southern University and couldn’t wait to see what life after high school would bring. When COVID put a wrench in senior year traditions and celebrations, we leaned into what mattered most, each other and our families. With classes online and nowhere else to be, we spent our days at the lake, by the pool, and making the most of simple moments together. Even though we graduated at home, our love never missed a beat. If anything, this season proved that no matter the circumstances, our story was just beginning.

College Days

2020-2024

Andrew and Mackenzie experienced college like no other from dorm life to eventually living as neighbors in the same community. We cheered at countless football games, spent many nights at the Blue Room (our favorite local bar in Statesboro), and created memories that would last a lifetime. Between endless study sessions and working toward our degrees, our love only grew stronger. During junior year, we found our second great love Boots our tailless cat, who quickly became part of our little family. No matter the four-hour distance from home, Boots traveled back and forth with us, right where he belonged. Andrew graduated in December 2023, and Mackenzie followed in May 2024. With jobs lined up, Andrew in construction and Mackenzie in insurance, we moved back to Atlanta and began our next chapter together in Brookhaven, GA. A new city, a new season, and the same love that started it all.

Engagement

Beginning of 2025

Andrew planned everything behind the scenes and for anyone who knows Mackenzie, that alone is impressive. The planner of the relationship had absolutely no idea what was coming. What Mackenzie thought was our annual trip to Charleston with Alex and Sydney turned out to be something far more magical. Without her knowing, Andrew had secretly planned a full engagement, with both of our families traveling in to be part of the surprise. On our third day in Charleston, Andrew led Mackenzie to a fountain in downtown Charleston, where he got down on one knee with a photographer quietly capturing every moment. It was the most special moment we have ever experienced together. After a joyful engagement photo session, Mackenzie had just one request: to celebrate with family. When we arrived at what she thought was a simple dinner reservation, the doors opened to reveal everyone; parents, siblings, and even Mackenzie’s beloved grandparents. It was nothing short of perfect.

Dunwoody Days

2025-2026

Mackenzie and Andrew thought their roots were set in Brookhaven for a while, until Mackenzie’s job relocated to Dunwoody not far away, but offering a quieter, more settled-down pace. Soon after, we found a rental house to call home and began this new chapter together. With a big yard and space to grow, we quickly fell in love with our new lifestyle. A few months later, we welcomed Beau, our Labrador retriever and bundle of pure joy, who instantly stole both of our hearts. Between decorating, yardwork, and making the house truly feel like ours, we discovered how much we love creating a home together. Our favorite thing of all? Hosting. Whether it’s family dinners, celebrations, or spontaneous get-togethers, our home is always full of love and laughter. Not long after, we found our dream wedding venue in Dahlonega where Mackenzie’s sister and her boyfriend attend school, just an hour north of Atlanta. The venue even has bison (yes, really!), something unheard of for a Georgia wedding venue, and it just so happened to be the very first venue we toured. We knew instantly it was the one. A few months later, we added another furry family member Bean, our Maine Coon cat making our little family feel even more complete. With our home, our pets, and each other, life feels incredibly full. We can’t wait to tie the knot and see what forever has in store
