2021

How it all started.

I love you more today than I did yesterday but I'll never love you more than I do tomorrow!

We met in 2008 while working for Stop & Shop. Through the years life took us in different directions, our paths crossed again in 2014 over our obsession with the movie The Polar Express! It's still a movie that's watched together every Christmas season. Jeremy's convinced that we never had an “official” first date but that's because (1) there were a lot of margaritas involved and because (2) his eyes were glued to The Bruins game the ENTIRE time -he says he was too nervous and didn't know what to talk about **insert eye roll here** but sitting at Chile's bar drinking ritas, watching the game and catching up, that was the start of our happily ever after! After a couple months of hanging out, planning day trips, and taking vacations together; we thought we should make us "official" and decided our first date on January 9th, 2015 would be our dating anniversary. From our first vacation in Las Vegas and The Grand Canyon to Rhode Island to New Hampshire to Cape Cod to Maine to Florida and all our little trips in between, our 2018 Maine trip stands out the most. We woke up early Sunday morning on August 19 to clear blue skies, warm sun shining and nothing but calm sapphire water for miles to see; we decided to take a walk on the beach before the rest of the world woke up. Enjoying the peace, talking about life, what we want out of it and what goals we want to accomplish; sitting on the jetty watching the boats go out for the day, Jeremy nonchalantly asks "Can you see spending the rest of your life with me?”. After complete silence for a solid 30 seconds, a couple punches and almost losing the ring in the ocean, a couple more "Are you serious?" and "Are you kidding?", the answer was obviously "Yes!"!

Going with the flow.

The year of COVID and changes.

Even though COVID got in the way of many events and everyone had to reschedule gatherings, had talks of canceling or canceled special occasions all together and/or set up zoom meetings so friends and family wouldn't miss out and could still participate while being safe under state guidelines; we decided it was more important for our friends and family to be in person celebrating with us than putting everyone a risk and continuing with our plans. Not an easy feat for a bride and groom who had already been planning for 2 years at that point and were eager to say I Do! However, as some of you may know; September 26,2020 holds a huge significance as it would have been Jeremy's parents 50th wedding anniversary. Jeremy's father is no longer with us, and we miss him more and more every day especially during important gatherings like this and even though we rescheduled our event, we just couldn't let the day get away from us without adding to that remarkable milestone. Unfortunately without our friends and family there to witness us getting hitched, on our original wedding date, in our backyard; we said "I do"! Although it wasn't the wedding we had envisioned and we missed everyone's presence, our wedding and start of our marriage was just as magical and beautiful in its own special way! We're incredibly happy and excited the world is opening again and we can't wait to celebrate the way we've been envisioning with all of you and start the next chapter in our lives!
