Lihue Airport (LIH)

All flights to round trip flights to Kauai come in and out of the Lihue Airport. From there, it's about a 30 minute drive to Poipu where the wedding festivities will take place. The airport has many rental car agencies on site and also has a "taxi hotline" located at the arrivals curb.

Rental cars on Kauai can book up quickly. Make your reservation sooner rather than later. There are some taxi's and (very) limited Ubers on the island, but you can't always depend on them. Rental cars are the most convenient and dependable mode of transportation. We love a minivan for groups or a Jeep for exploring remote beaches and cane field roads.

The Point is a beautiful condominium resort with a tropical pool area and gorgeous views of Shipwrecks Beach. These units have two bedrooms plus a sleeper sofa in the living area, full kitchen and laundry facilities in-room! Mariott's Waiohai Beach Club

Just a few steps down the beach from the Sheraton, we have the beautiful Mariott Waiohai Beach Club. This property typically books up 12 months in advance so we have pre-booked several reservations for our guests to use. Air BNB

Websites like Air BNB and VRBO have great listings for rental homes and condos in the Poipu area! Many come with bicycles and beach gear, too! This is one of our favorite ways to experience Kauai while being able to stay with family and friends.
