Cisco Brewers
The ideal spot for drinks and live music following a day at the beach. Home to Nantucket’s own winery, brewery, and distillery, “the brewery” also offers a raw bar and grilled food from local vendors. The line can get lengthy during peak season— we recommend getting there mid-afternoon to snag a picnic table and beat the post-beach rush. *Kid and dog-friendly!*
Something Natural
Known for their sandwiches on homemade Portuguese bread and homemade chocolate-chip cookies, Something Natural is our favorite place to pick up lunch on the way to the beach. If you have a big order, we recommend calling ahead.
The Chicken Box
For first-timers, a night at "the Box" is not to be missed. Live music, pool tables, and always a lively crowd. Expect a line on weekends, but worth the wait!
Downyflake Restaurant
Breakfast sandwiches and homemade donuts come highly recommended after a night at the Box.
The Gazebo at Harbor Square
Just up the dock from the Hyline Ferry, the Gazebo is the perfect spot to kill time while waiting for your boat, and also a favorite rainy-day bar of ours (the mudslide is a must.)
Sanford Farm
For those looking to get some exercise in, Sanford Farm offers both a 3-mile and 6-mile loop with stunning views of Nantucket's natural landscape, leading all the way down to the ocean.
Ventuno Restaurant
Our favorite dinner spot! Fresh Italian fare with local ingredients and a great wine selection, the restaurant occupies two floors of a former downtown home. We also love Back Bar (back patio of Ventuno) for drinks or a more relaxed dinner with a group.
